Sakura Kinimoto and her brother Toya were having a nice breakfast on a perfect Saturday morning. Their father, Fujitaka, had given them rice with sausage mixed in and eggs, when the doorbell rang. Sakura’s father answered it and came back with a girl. She had blond hair and blue eyes. When she walked in Toya almost choked on an egg. Sakura giggled “try to keep it together for our guest Toya” she laughed. He shot her a look and said “well I’m off to soccer. See you guys at three” Sakura turned and looked at the visitor. Her father said “this is Serena, the girl who is going to be staying with us until she graduates from toya’s high school in may.” Sakura smiled and said “welcome! Don’t mind my brother he just gets that way around girls” she showed Serena to her room and ran into hers to wake up kero. “Kero!” she whispered “we have guest for the next school year. How are we going to keep a secret?” Serena walked in “Sakura I know what you are talking about, let me see if I can wake kero-chan up.” Sakura reluctantly gave Serena the little creature and watched. She fiddled around until she heard a “YEAOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!” kero flew out of the girl’s arms and into the bathroom in Sakura’s room. Then when he came out they both realized that he was flying and talking in front of a complete stranger. They both screamed and said “SERENA!YOU ARE HAVING AN ILLUSION! YOU DID NOT JUST SEE HIM/ME TALK!!!!!” Serena stared at them and started to giggle, then laugh, and then she fell on the floor and practically died laughing. After she consoled herself she said “oh kero-chan. You are just too much. You don’t even remember clow reed’s little moon bunny ,do you?” after thinking, kero looked at her and stated “do you have proof that you know Eli? And if you do than where is your daemon companion?” Serena sat down next to Sakura and emptied the contents of the messenger bag on to the floor. First she took out the mylo, then the clow cards book, and then a small vanilla bunny flew out of the bag and started to speak in a language unknown to Sakura. She was mortified. Who was she? Then kero said, “ it’s nice to see you Serena, I hope you’ll keep her secret.” She smiled and whispered “ Truth to be told, I’m a cardcaptor, too. Whoa! I almost forgot about kira!” she then held the card book and said “daemon creature! Come out and see! The world around you and me!” as she said this she stood up. The astrological sign that appeared around her usually meant she was summoning a card. The key around her neck had broken loose and was levitating in front of her. The air was filled with wind and smoke. The pages in the book flipped through all the cards that Sakura had and was still catching till it stopped abruptly in the middle of the book. Serena shouted “SEAL! REALEASE!” there was a flash of light and then a small ball of light revealed a creature just like kero. It was all white and had blue ears, wings, and the puff on it’s tail. It also wore a little blue collar with a tiny wing on it. It stretched and said “ serena? Where are we? Huh? Kero- chaaaann!” she  flew over and hugged him. “ It’s been awhile since I saw you! Did you fall asleep on the cover AGAIN?!” she sounded a bit mad and then sighed “men. Never send a male creature to do a females job.” All the girls laughed until kero and kira started talking. To break up that conversation. Serena took the blue box and hid it in her pocket. Sakura started talking about Tomoyo and Syaoran. Serena knew a little about Syaoran but she was intrigued by how arrogant he was and yet he never let anyone down. After Sakura said this she stared off into space dreamily. Serena ultimately remembered  the music box song and thought she’s in love. Mimzy whispered in her ear that she would try to speak Japanese and that on the way that she remembered seeing a palace with the sun emblem as they passed over an uninhabited harbor. She asked Sakura if there was a way to get to it and she said yes. So they made a plan: they would rollerblade to the boardwalk and disguise their staffs as broomsticks (witches were common among Japan as were superheroes and sailor senshi, but noone was to know about cardcaptors just yet.). Then they would fly over the river and through the small range of mountains to get to this mystical palace of the sun.  While they rollerbladed under the blooming trees, Serena asked “do you know if you lived anywhere else?” Sakura thought and answered “No. But I remember one thing from a dream. But it didn’t feel like a dream. It felt like I’ve been to that place and that time. We were being followed by an evil man me and my mom then she was shot and I was pushed into a wall that opened with a prince I knew. We were led into a room and knelt before a lady. She had short brown hair and spectacles and wore a orange and white crown and a orange and white robe. She told us that we were to be ‘reincarnated’ on earth and me and the prince would ‘find each other by the cards of reed’ or something. She held a bright white light and we were to look into the light and think of a happy memory. As I would look in I would get scared and wake up sweating like mad. It was oddly familiar. But I couldn’t be royalty could I?” Serena thought this is a bigger deal than I thought!
